    Witches, both male and female, are referred to as witches, they use ritual magic which means the use of candles and pentagrams and calling upon deities.
    Warlocks are has-been witches that have learned how to possess or control demonic powers, or that have betrayed their oath to their deities.
    Wizards use arcane magic which doesn’t require a ritual but still needs runes and sigils to be drawn in the air before the spells work.
    And then you get Sorcerers who have learned to harness the energies in themselves for their spells to take effect.
    Wizards and sorcerers are extremely rare in modern time, having pretty much died off after the middle ages. But Witches are quite active in this time.

    In modern Witchcraft, Warlock is largely accepted to mean “oathbreaker”. The Men in my coven call themselves “Man Witches” (Cos and sandwich is a sandwich but…)
    I would say a Wizard is an automated process in computing, or a fictional character. Maybe the term is still in use in the Ceremonial/Alchemical communities, I’m not sure.

    Warlocks were actually people who betrayed witches at one point hence the name meaning “oathbreaker” and their magic is different than that of a whitch.. And the term applies to both men and women, both are ‘witches’ and i think the term wizard is only used in fiction or by a guy who doesnt know anything about magic and calles himself a wizard

    A Wizard is pretty much a different name for the others – all of them are users of magic. A Warlock is most commonly used for evil magic users though, while a witch can be good or bad. There’s Mages too, of course.

    female and male witches are both called witches, warlock is not used for male witches, the meaning means traitor so it is not used that is a misconception.

    Wizard = human warlock

    A male who practices witchcraft [that is, one who practices Indo-European Wicca] is usually called a witch. Particular variations of this occur from Coven to Coven. Most common in Wicca specific is the male [wicce] and female [wica]. The word “warlock” is primarily a hollywood word but may actually have its roots in the Norse word “Vyrdlokken” meaning a member of a group the early Norweigans used to define one who worked magick in the context of war. In other words, a military witch.

    Warlock is a made up name, probably from pre-Christian time. Both male and females are referred to as a witch, pagan, heathen etc.
    The difference between a witch and a wizard, is a witch follows a nature based religion, Sabbaths etc. where a wizard, uses elements energy but does not follow a religion or coven. He or she works solitary, but still communicates with the elements to create mostly illusions, or if they are for real will be highly educated in alchemy. Good luck finding a real wizard as they are a dying breed.
